I'm a homebody. I don't like having to go and do a lot. I'd much rather be home enjoying my family and getting stuff done. But getting out at least once a week to take care of necessary things is well...necessary. So what I try to do, is aside from church, and occasional family outings, I try to plan all my errands out for one day, and that's Thursday. I do a few things to make this day a little easier on us. I don't plan on doing any laundry today. I also plan out what all I need to do. I make sure I have my shopping lists ready, my car loaded, and something simple planned for dinner. Homeschooling is usually a little more layed back. We try to get as much done in the morning as we can. And we include other things while we're out and about, like composer study, nature study, and sometimes our read aloud.

If the weather is nice, I try to pack a lunch, and we go to the park to eat, and I let the kids play, and we do a little nature study. I try to make all my midwife appointments for Thursday, and honestly am very hesitant to add anything that we have to leave the house for to our week unless it falls on Thursday. I've been praying about joining a local homeschool group that meets for P.E. every Tuesday, because like I said, I don't like having to get out and about too much. Another option I could do though, is move our errand day to Tuesday....but I'm not going to make any quick decisions about it right now. I've also been thinking of doing more errands in the morning, instead of the afternoon, so that my little guy can still get a nap.
Blessings,
sara
